Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the internal EDUCK Highlight Uploader handles data when using Google OAuth and the YouTube Data API Services.

Controller and contact

All in Red Jan Tuziak, Zawadzka 6, 33-112 Tarnowiec, Poland. Privacy requests may be sent to [email protected].

Data accessed and created

The client requests only the Google OAuth permission https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload. It processes the authorized account credentials necessary to upload a video. For each operator-selected upload it sends an EDUCK-owned MP4 file, title, description, category, audience designation and privacy status. It records the returned video ID, URL, publication date and status in a local metadata file.

The client does not request analytics, comments, contacts, subscriptions, browsing history or access to third-party channels.

Purpose and legal basis

Data is processed solely to authenticate the authorized EDUCK operator, publish EDUCK educational content to the selected EDUCK channel, resume interrupted transfers and record the upload result. The processing supports the operator's legitimate business activity and is initiated by an explicit operator action.

Storage, sharing and security

OAuth client credentials and tokens are stored only on the operator's local computer in a Git-ignored directory. The client has no application server or database. Data is transmitted only to Google and YouTube as required to perform the upload. We do not sell, rent, advertise with or otherwise disclose Google user data to third parties. Local access is limited to the authorized operator.

Retention and deletion

The local OAuth token is retained until access is revoked, the token expires or the operator deletes it. Upload metadata is retained as a business publication record. To delete the locally stored Google authorization data, the operator removes the local token file at .secrets/youtube/token.json. Requests for assistance or deletion can be sent to the contact address above and will be handled without undue delay.

Revoking Google access

The operator may revoke the client's access at any time from Google Account third-party connections. Revocation prevents future API access. Deleting or revoking the token does not automatically delete videos already uploaded; those can be managed directly in YouTube Studio.

YouTube API Services and external policies

EDUCK Highlight Uploader uses the YouTube Data API Services. By using the client, the authorized operator is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. The client is designed to follow the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and Developer Policies.

Changes

Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. The client will not expand its Google data access without updating this notice and obtaining any required authorization.
